It just isn't right to be this way.
Suddenly, Karamatsu joins Osomatsu on the ground, sitting Indian style. Karamatsu feels no need to apologize for their spurt of violence (for whatever reason, the two of them scrapping wasn't entirely uncommon.)
His hand lifts, palm cupping the back of Osomatsu's bowed head. Karamatsu had always been a tactile person, whether it be showing some form of affection or a form of violence. All of them were probably used to his touch by now.
"Brother," he starts, allowing his chest to bump against the top of Osomatsu's head in some sort of awkward embrace.
"Sometimes in order to for somebody to blossom, they have to fall first. Ah, like an acorn from a tree— it will fall first and face trials, but if it succeeds, it'll grow into a great oak tree."
A pause as he chuffs some laughter, though a part of it sounds sad.
The thought of them splitting up makes him sad, but he's so optimistic, he sees the grander scheme of things.
"Understand? Wouldn't it be nice to risk the fall and see something like that happen?"

Right when Karamatsu opens his mouth, Osomatsu knows he's in for a pile of flowery garbage. He desperately wants to shove his brother off of him, to tell him to shut up, to continue throwing his tantrum.
But there is something he wants more, and that is the closeness. Because, right now, he feels as though he's losing a little piece of himself, and the only way that he can start to feel normal again is by grabbing up his brothers and... and what? Locking them all in a cage? Keeping them chained up inside their house?
Man... even he knows that's messed up.
And yet, a small part of him doesn't care. That's what he wants, and he's not going to be happy until he gets his way. He hits the ground again, closing his eyes, and allowing Karamatsu to hold him. At least this way, he still gets to be close.
"...I don't want any of you to fall." Why let them fall and hurt themselves trying to fly when it was easier to just clip their wings from the start?
