[ Of course we are is what Katsura wants to say, but he isn't certain. It is a situation he has never thought of being in with Sakamoto. Though, his heart doesn't pull or tug in a way that is making him think it might be wise to not be this intimate with him. Surely that was some kind of sign right there, but up until now, Katsura hadn't the faintest that he was growing fonder and fonder of Sakamoto through the days he had spent with him.

Was it just him trying to place Sakamoto in the puzzle space that Gintoki usually kept filled? That kind of puzzle space was that, anyway— platonic or something romantic?

Did that make it wrong? Could Zura be that selfish? ]

This is closer.
[ The way he says that almost makes it feel like a negative thing, but then he holds Tatsuma by the cheek. ]

I like it.
[ —the answer is, yes, Katsura can be that selfish. Gintoki was irreplaceable, yes, but he would try to subconsciously cram somebody in the spot that his dear friend used to be in, which was an entirely wrong thing to do.
He should know better— but for now, he doesn't. He just wants to be happy. ]
